Having the formidable Menace ability is a bonus, and this guy has the ability to discard a card and counter a spell with the same cost

The deck simply doesnt have enough creatures and enough land to make that a reasonable way to play your deck

It may be a bit too fragile or slow to run in a really tuned Storm deck, but Dragon decks should still be able to get quite a bit of use out of Hellkite
