Online, this feels a lot more like

Mental Note is still narrower than things like Serum Visions but it is more powerful in the right kinds of deck and not that much less effective in the wrong kinds of deck

This award is given to a card that wasnt new in the year in question, but has gained new context during that year

Theres an interesting lonely doomed vibe that myr also get in a different way

So many artifacts hit the board, such as mana producers (Sol Ring or Signets), land fetchers (Expedition Map and Armillary Sphere), utility artifacts (Nihil Spellbomb and Dispeller's Capsule), artifact creatures (Solemn Simulacrum and Steel Hellkite), broken artifacts (Mind's Eye and Eldrazi Monument) , and Equipment (Swords of X and Y and Lightning Greaves)

If you're willing to do the work there's something to this card, but I've been disappointed the few times I've cast it thus far
