I do think its a little simple and relies too heavily on your opponents having creatures, but at the end of the day if they dont have any creatures to goad, youre going to be connecting with your dragons anyway, so who cares
I agree that Thassa could be cut, but I only run a single Pat the Waterveil and a single Jace and felt this deck needed a third win condition
They believe that if WotC went back on their word, it would damage the companys credibility and make people hesitant to invest in collectible Magic products
Of course, some decks will run both
